Although we didn't meet our goals during the 12-week session, we are well on our way. The fact that we worked our way through 2 conferences and Christmas proved how easy this should be to maintain. We honestly can't envision ourselves eating any other way. We thought eating out might be very difficult, but with all the info and advice provided by you, we managed it quite nicely. It has completely changed the way we look at our food, as we now understand why we are eating or not eating certain things, how much we should be eating, and when we should be eating. We shop almost exclusively in the outside isles of the grocery store now. Aside from the weight loss (and many inches) I have reduced my blood pressure and resting heart rate substantially, which means the looming increase in my blood pressure medications will not need to happen. And I no longer feel bloated. I'm hopeful my cholesterol numbers will be better too, but won't know until the end of February. The program has also confirmed the importance of exercise, especially as we age.

We would definitely recommend the program to others! The fact that there are no gimmicks, no meals to purchase, and no pills/supplements to take is huge. I don't think weight loss is sustainable if you can't survive out in the world without someone supplying your meals, and I never like to take any more pills than I have to. Unlike most plans, we now have everything we need to continue this new way of eating. We have been educated about food and healthy eating. If we find ourselves gaining a bit of weight, we have all the information we need to get back into weight loss mode, without having to sign up again, or go back to pre-packaged meals. It was definitely a bit tricky for the first 2-3 weeks, changing my grocery shopping habits and having enough protein in the house for every meal! I'm finding it very easy to tweak my own recipes now, knowing exactly what I need and don't need in each meal.

It seems like a whole new world has opened up to us. I think one of the best things is that very few things are off limits, it's more about finding a way to eat them differently and some things not as often. It's not zero carbs, or zero sugars, or zero red meat like so many diet plans, and then people end up craving what they can't touch. It is simply a sensible eating plan. We looked forward to our Skype calls with you each week, keeping us on track and answering all of our questions, as well as providing encouragement and support.

I was introduced to Alejandra (a dietician – more qualified than nutritionists which I didn’t appreciate) explained my symptoms and also that I am a vegan. Not only did Alejandra fully understand the nutritional needs of being a vegan but she also wholeheartedly supported me in this ethical choice of mine. I stuck to the food plan that she created for 3 months and miraculously the fat around my middle disappeared, before my very eyes! The diet plan was not only incredibly easy to follow but I felt more invigorated and positive, in mind and spirit.

Alejandra is nothing less than wonderful. She is kind (but firm!), professional, highly knowledgeable and a living embodiment of healthy eating. As Alejandra is a trained dietitian, she was able to point out to me the exact effect of eating or not eating certain foods. I was struck by the reasons behind the need to balance fruit with eg nuts and to maintain regular small meals. I learned why it is not helpful to eat sugary or fatty foods even if the calories are the same as if you eat good food. Alejandra was encouraging but occasionally stern, in an understandable way, for example when I confessed to eating a whole bag of Rococo chocolates, she asked me if I had made sure I savoured the whole experience! I did.

I appreciated the element of science in the plan, and felt that I was developing nutritional intelligence, something which does not at all come naturally to me. I also liked the occasional tips to use chilli in snacks, as coming from an Irish farming family this is also not something I was brought up on. It really meant being more adventurous and that was good. In our discussions it became clear to me that one of my triggers for eating badly was travel stress. Once that had been identified it was possible to discuss ways to manage this.

I lost over a stone in a few months. I carried on the programme and lost less weight, which was due to increasing portions. I have however continued again with the programme as I do regard this as a journey which may have some setbacks. Alejandra is clear that setbacks do not need to set up a negative cycle. I appreciate that and am also learning to put that into practice.

Alejandra has been encouraging of physical exercise and this has increased above a moderate level and has helped.

Filling out a food diary in the first part of the programme was very helpful.

I would recommend the programme as it is educational and not gimmicky. It has definitely increased my confidence in understanding and controlling my eating habits. The one to one approach has enabled me to be frank about the food choices I have made and has given me an opportunity to look at ways of managing these. As the weeks have gone on I have discovered new food items and meals from the plan and Louise’s book. We have also discussed scenarios, eg if I get lunch from Eat or Pret, to get grapes instead of a cake for dessert. So now if I walk into Eat or Pret I think of that. Having sparkling water with lemon or lime or cucumber instead of wine was another good tip which was simple and easy to follow.

The biggest challenge was organising myself so that I had the best foods at hand both at home and work and carved out time to exercise. But with Catherine's brilliant practical help and warm encouragement it's become a habit.

I have also learned that hoovering up biscuits and sweets between deadlines at my desk is not actually a treat. But a delicious afternoon tea with a friend is! Balancing special days with the everyday but making that everyday just as worthwhile has made me much happier.

I look after myself so much more. I'm over 50, have a thyroid problem, am post menopausal, hate the gym and have a stressful night-shift job. And I can honestly say I have never felt better! Thankyou so much.

I work in the private equity industry where the regular demanding workload is punctuated periodically by intense “exit events” that place sustained and relentless pressure on the Chief Financial Officer. It was in preparation for such a period that I contacted Louise Parker to help me become what I called “exit fit” in both body and mind. My increased metabolism, energy and alertness allowed me to sustain long hours of stressful overnight and weekend working without any of the physical and mental symptoms of exhaustion that I had experienced on previous deals. Instead of comfort eating and drinking, I reached for the protein hits that Catherine had taught me: boiled eggs, ham and cheese being particular favourites, along with the yoghurt and fruit shakes that have become part of my daily routine. From the very first session with my dietitian, Anna, I just “clicked” with this program and she made me realized that those other diets had failed, not me! Checking in with Anna on a weekly basis and having her guidance and support at the end of the phone or email kept me accountable. The program was great from the very start. I found the discipline of going to see / have calls with Anna every week really helped me to stick to the plan, and within a few weeks I found I was understanding the concept of how to eat well (and to lose weight) and it was becoming ingrained.

The results were rapid and having Anna as my own personal cheerleader / counselor / sounding board / friendly face to chat through everything just made the process so much easier. I now feel I am ready to face the world and continue on the journey, with no hint of slipping back into bad habits.

The recipes were great - I have never cooked so much in my life but everything is easy to follow and way tastier than the many microwave meals i consumed before. It also means that when I do have a treat (which i can now do without being consumed by guilt!) its really worth it, and i go straight back to my usual cooking the next day.


Would you recommend our programme?

YES!! It is expensive, but I said to myself at the outset, if there was anything i could spend my money on, it would be to be thin. Well I'm not 100% there but I am well on the way and have all the tools i need to support myself going forward and get to my goal - but its also great to know that I can go back if i ever need a pep talk from Anna!

I wanted to take the time thank you and Tom for re educating and refocusing my outlook on exercise and nutrition.

I also wanted to let you know that I am currently 7st 2 and have maintained around that weight since the beginning of the year and to be honest with new tools it has been easy :)

Exercise has now become part of more weekly routine [although I probably should be doing a bit more!] And my family now eats a more balanced and healthier diet and I have certainly ditched the snacking on crap!...

For example, if I had a dinner out, she would immediately look for the restaurant and the menu and always gave me advise with a positive outlook. She would tell me all the things I could eat instead of focusing on what I should not eat.

Also, she has great knowledge about nutrition and about the Louise Parker Method. Catherine really made my process of loosing weight and reaching my goal easy and smooth. Her warm and happy personality made every appointment a real pleasure.

After having 2 children, it is the first time in years that I feel myself again. My weight after the programme is the same as when I was 15 years old.

The programme's personal manual was very easy to understand and follow with an ideal amount of flexibility so that I found it natural to only concentrate on the variety of food I am allowed to eat rather than worrying about what I might be missing....

Gently guided by the wonderful Amelie, I lost a stone in weight and am now in a size 8 for the first time in years. Amelie was a charming and knowledgeable support who made it all very easy to understand and who encouraged me throughout the 12 week programme. I can't recommend highly enough the principles Louise Parker espouses. If you want to lose weight ,and keep it off, in a simple and effective way then this is the right step for you.

I had been feeling tired, my mind was slow, my sleep was never enough, and I had been also feeling swollen like a sausage, the skin was so tight around my thighs that it was itching, I had been trying to lose some weight without any success in the last previous months, then on December 3rd, it was my birthday, and I was flying to London to celebrate with my partner, when on the British Airways magazine I saw Louise Parker advertisement, and I said to me this is what I am looking for!

But I am Italian I live in Italy, I did not know if it could work, anyway I took a picture of the e mail address and when I got home I wrote to Louise Parker to enquire

I had been feeling tired, my mind was slow, my sleep was never enough, and I had been also feeling swollen like a sausage, the skin was so tight around my thighs that it was itching, I had been trying to lose some weight without any success in the last previous months, then on December 3rd, it was my birthday, and I was flying to London to celebrate with my partner, when on the British Airways magazine I saw Louise Parker advertisement, and I said to me this is what I am looking for!

But I am Italian I live in Italy, I did not know if it could work, anyway I took a picture of the e mail address and when I got home I wrote to Louise Parker to enquire
about the method and see if I could enroll etc...

I must say I have nearly tried all the diets on earth but, at the end, either I did not lose weight, either I took all my kilos back in a very short time.
I started the programme, and loved it, for many reasons: - First of all Amelie, the talks we had once a week, the chance to check all my doubts, the answers she gave, her savoir faire, and her touch made the difference, the feeling that someone would look after me and also check on me, the chance to write any doubts by mail and get a prompt and satisfying response was a great help.
- then what I think was really important is the number of tasty recipes, you know if you tell me I can eat 120gr. chicken then if I am not a good cook, or if I lack imagination after 2 weeks of plain grilled chicken I quit and this was not the case
- then the result: I started Louise Programme on 22nd January and my weight was 79 kg and when I enrolled my goal was to lose 6 kilos in order to weigh 73 I must say that in any of the diets I had previously followed I had never been able to weigh less than 73 kg.
- on 22nd April my weight was 70,6 kg but what was amazing were measurements
when we started my thighs were cm.64 and now they are cm 57.5 my waist was 99 and now it is 87.5
I used to wear a size 50 and now I bought size 46 jeans and a pair is size 44
What I did was just: follow the method, write the food diary which is vital, do the exercise and enjoy the method with the right mindset

Now I sleep very well, I am more energetic, more concentrated, my mind is fresh and I my body and my mind are light.

During the programme I was not closed in a castle far from temptations, I lived my everyday life, working, dealing with my family, travelling, and Louise Parker followed me step by step, Amelie was always there to help to balance my programme if I had parties, dinners, or celebrations.
and when I had a doubt on the exercise, then Tara was ready to help and give me important tips.

Now I am starting the maintenance programme and I am sure I will enjoy it as well.

I realised that this was going to be a very professional and expert approach to me, my lifestyle and my nutrition. When faced with the choices I would have to make it was daunting – Alejandra dealt with my resistance calmly and worked with me on how to make changes in how and what I eat. And more how I approach food in the round. And all of this during the usual life packed with business travelling, holidays and so on. Of course I'd done lots of stuff before, but never persevered long enough for it to make a significant difference and never really had the support and challenge to make sure I kept the focus and reminding myself what I was doing and why I was doing it. I'm pretty smart and intellectually understand about nutrition and the need for a balanced diet - as a qualified vegetarian and vegan chef I should do. So when I had read about various wacky diets (and met a few wacky nutrition people along the way) I had become more and more cynical about wonder plans. The Louise Parker phrase that stuck with me was and is "it works if you work at it"...but could I really lose 10-15 kilos in that time?

The short and definitive answer is "yes". I'm 12 kilos lighter, clothes fit me that have sat in the drawer for a long time, I no longer start at the XXL end of the clothes rail when shopping and those around me frequently comment on how I now look. I have more energy, sleep better, drink less and am constantly conscious of how my eating, drinking and lifestyle either helps or hinders my life in general. The biggest change is the rediscovery of my zest for living, learning and life in general. Food is wonderful and interesting and exciting but I don't have to eat it and I don't feel panicky if I don't see food in easy reach. I leave food I don't want and often ask myself "is it worth the calories?" and then walk away - not something I could do before.

What makes me a little unusual is that I'm vegan (one of the larger ones) and that had also made following plans difficult - particularly while travelling. Having intelligent and thought provoking discussions with Catherine helped me think through how to manage to maintain my new style of working with food and drink and trips abroad with airline lounges, hotels and restaurants were and are no longer a problem or barrier to my healthy eating. Apparently alcohol on an aeroplane is not compulsory - I took my first long haul flight without it ever in my life and the world did not end - in fact it got a whole lot better.

Catherine was a delight to work with. Highly intelligent, opinionated and knowledgeable. I knew from our first meeting that she was what I needed. No nonsense approach, a clear, logical and science based approach to nutrition and a great sense of humour. What was wonderful was that she was excited to learn about the challenges of following a plant based diet and was a source of ideas, products and hard data about some things that looked like a good idea at first sight.

I know I could not have done what I have done without Catherine and the services and support of the Louise Parker organisation. My life is different now and the journey will continue - it's funny listening to the half hearted new year resolutions on the train or at the airport and the realisation that that was me. It works if you work at it - just thinking about it and saying it isn't enough. Thank you Catherine and all at Louise Parker for helping me find me again.

The confidence that everyone involved seemed to have right from the outset was striking. It just didn't seem to cross anyone's mind that it might not work. The programme was so easy to stick to. Some days were quite tough but the work outs with lovely trainers get you through the difficult patches and thoughts of a disappointing weigh in with no nonsense Alejandra mean cheating just didn't feel like an option. You just feel everyone is willing you on and that they are invested as much as you are in your results.

It's a relief to just be told the truth for once; no gimmicks, no tricks, just the right portion sizes, with the right foods at the right times in order to experience eating what your body needs to stay healthy and to lose weight. It's so simple in one way, like with the visual element of cups as opposed to grams, but then the details of the brands, which actually taste so much better, or the description of the vitamins make you feel like every single thing has had so much care and attention put into it. And that is catching, because you feel looked after so you want to look after yourself. It's all in the detail and the simplicity, perfect combo.

I have just finished the 6-week Intensive Light programme and I wanted to say a big thank you for your help and support throughout the process. I am so pleased with the results and never would have believed that I could lose 7cm off my hips and 9cm off my abdomen! I’m thrilled and have been receiving lovely compliments.In addition to the visual results, I also feel better than I have in years. The weight loss and the level of fitness I have experienced thanks to the program are so impressive, that I have changed my entire view on food and sport. After eight weeks of sticking to the food plan, I am so used to it, that I don’t want to change it too much. My mental attitude towards food has completely changed. Yes, I am adding carbs each day, but the overall food intake is mostly the same, allowing me to keep my new weight. I have decided to keep training with Louise’s trainer, but only twice a week, instead of three times, to keep a good level of regular and intensive sport during my weekly routine. Having said that, I still continue having client meetings and dinners, as well as frequent business travel, but my attitude towards what I eat and the sport I do, is a completely new one. Louise’s program will not only achieve incredible results, it will change your own way of thinking about food and health. Totally worthwhile!

How he got me through 24 workouts in six weeks whilst managing an existing injury is testament to his skill and experience. My Dietitian - provided great advice and support for the other elements of the programme, meaning that I felt supported throughout. Completing the intensive was a tough ask for me, but the support from Louise Parker's teams combined with my perseverance provided unbelievable results. It was SO easy!

I can so happily eat out at restaurants knowing exactly what to order and never feeling like am on a diet and therefore missing out!

Like many others I have tried countless diets, food help programmes, and many other programmes. There were successes in the past, but the gains were temporary. With time I kept enjoying the foods and gaining weight, in many cases ending even heavier than before. I have a somewhat busy lifestyle with travel around the world, which makes me enjoy dinning different menus. As I was slowly gaining back weight and reaching the point of needing new clothes, I decided it was time again to search for an option.

I found Louise Parker's ad and it seemed targeted for travellers like me. It promised to teach me how to eat properly. It was not a diet, it was a guide. I started the programme with the intention to only loose 10 kilograms, which would bring me to a low point reached some 4 years back. At the beginning I was not believing that I would eat things I like and lose weight. I had to postpone taking certain foods, but I was happy to do so and focused on my goal. My weekly calls were encouraging and helped me focus on my goal.

As I was progressing with excitement and approaching the goal, I decided that I wanted to lose additional 2 kilograms, and then another 2. I signed for a second 12 weeks program with the intention to learn how to maintain my gains. As weight continued to come down slowly, I decided to stop limiting myself and to start believing. The goal shifted to "no belly fat". So far, I have lost about 18 kilograms and over 3 sizes of clothing. I had to purchase some work suits twice as sizes kept coming down!

I am learning how to maintain and still lose some weight at a more controlled and slower pace. At the beginning I was not believing myself, but I have reached the weight I had when I was 18 years old. I have more energy, I feel healthy and I feel good about how I look. Well, as clichéd as it sounds, I can now tell you … I feel fantastic! It’s now five months since I committed to the Optimum Weight Loss programme after several months of deliberation and procrastination and the change is incredible. I live in the Caribbean and travel internationally a lot for work, which is great but does make it difficult to lead a healthy lifestyle. In my case, I neither ate well nor paid any real attention to my health, the obvious outcome was that my weight increased steadily with every passing year. I knew it was time for a change but did not know how to go about making a new life? Fortunately, on one business trip, I spotted the advert for Louise Parker in an in-flight magazine and it immediately grabbed my attention. This is what I needed and I was not disappointed!

Although I knew what the programme generally entailed, I could not imagine the support I was about to receive. Alejandra (my Dietician) has been an absolute pillar of strength, support, compassion, and empathy throughout but what makes her extra special is that she also got to know how I think and sees through all my excuses. She never judges me but she does keep me on the straight and narrow, which is what I need. She has a passion for health, an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of nutrition and a genuine love of food and seeing people improve. The plan she created for me has not only helped me shed more than twice my initial goal but it has given me the insight to make the sensible choices I need to look after myself. For probably the first time in my life, I know how to structure my nutrition, to make my body work with me and not against me. She has guided me on how to remain on track with my goals during long haul flights and conferences with rich, over-indulgent meals. She draws on her academic knowledge and experience as a dancer to make sure that I get the best advice; I had a lot of questions throughout the process which she answered almost immediately, despite the five hour time difference.

This is not just a fad diet or a passing craze … this is fundamentally ‘teach a man to fish’; Alejandra taught me how to eat, she didn’t just tell me what to eat. And once that knowledge is gained, it can never be lost. Sure, I may stray from the path occasionally but it’s not long before I hear Alejandra’s voice at the back of my head asking what I’ll do to compensate for my ‘indiscretion’ … and I happily do what it takes.

If I had been told I would be ending 2014 feeling and looking as I do now I would have laughed. I am 51 years old and feel more youthful and have more energy now than I did when I was 41. This year has probably been one of the hardest and most emotional years of my life. I finally made the decision to change my life in January; the first step being walking away from a very unhappy 22 year relationship. Adjusting to a new life in London and learning to be single after so long occupied most of the first few months of the year. I was at my heaviest; comfort eating and accepting too many social invitations all of which involved drinking too much! I wasn’t exercising either, despite the many New Year resolutions.

It was during a business flight to the US in April when I saw the Louise Parker advert. The glamorous and toned model initially put me off; I didn’t think I would be the type of client that the team would want to take on, so I waited two months before I plucked up the courage to contact the team. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Having already taken steps to lose half a stone in weight I arrived at my first consultation where I met Alejandra. She was amazing; the empathy, patience and support she showed me during that first 2 hours made all the difference.

Working with Ale and with my personal trainer Mark over 12 weeks on the Optimum Weight Loss programme, the transformation was phenomenal. Since July I have lost a total of two stone; dropped over two dress sizes and my body shape has changed completely. At 5’ 11’’ this has had a dramatic effect on the way I look and feel.

Not only that, my whole approach to food is very different. I have almost become an exercise maniac. As someone who has always been naturally sporty, I have taken up cycling; thrown myself back into running but even more importantly I have taken up ballet (mixed with Pilates and yoga).

Everything about my life is on the up; I decided to go away sailing for Christmas and I feel I now have a body I can show off in a bikini! Learning to sail has also been part of my 2014 journey. I sleep so much better, something I struggled with for years. I can now cope with the all the changes my new life brings and I feel so much more positive about embracing the future. Without the Louise Parker team, especially Ale, I would not have been able to achieve this; a heartfelt thank you for helping me to end 2014 on such a high.

In desperation on holiday in Turkey I emailed Louise Parker – this was the time to finally find out where I was going wrong. At the first meeting I was sceptical – surely I couldn't eat all this food so often and lose weight! I did – I consistently lost 2lbs every week and quickly got to a comfortable weight just by sticking to the plan.

What I needed was good solid nutritional advice and that is what I have got from Aoife. I needed to eat more during the day (a lot more, and less in the evening). No nonsense, clear and simple. The plan means I am eating all day. Giving up the alcohol wasn’t too difficult either. When you can see the results every week that is enough motivation for anyone.

The weekly meetings are a must and I gained real insight into why a huge bowl of porridge with honey and nuts and fruit probably wasn't the best breakfast when trying to lose weight. It all made me realise just how much food I needed and the balance of protein and carbohydrate. After eschewing bread and fruit for the last few years it was a joy to add these back to my weekly food plan.

I can’t recommend Louise Parker enough.

My location meant I couldn't take advantage of the personal training element of the method, however, my own fitness regime coupled with a local gym personal training session occasionally has given me unbelievable results. I have signed up for the Lifestyle Programme to see me through the next 12 months – I am honing what I have learnt and fully expect to be in the best shape ever in my 52nd year. Thank you.

How do I feel now?

FABULOUS! Honestly, from day one the programme just clicked for me. It made sense. It wasn't gimmicky. The recipes were fast, straight forward and a great blend of all the different types of cuisine that I love to eat. This was such a bonus because the meal suggestions were enticing and I never felt like I was deprived or had to cook a "special" meal for myself which nobody else would be interested in eating! Many of the meals on the plan are now firm family favourites.

On top of that was the incredible support of my dietitian. To have someone there that you need to be accountable to really pushed me in the first few weeks to keep on plan. I'm not going to lie, the idea of giving up the ol' Hendricks and tonic for the duration of the programme was incredibly daunting. But, being able to talk through how I was going to approach various social situations without going into a tailspin and falling off the wagon really helped.

And the results? Well I'm no longer fat and frumpy! I lost 30lbs over the course of the 12 week programme! I really couldn't believe it when I compared my starting weight and what I was when we came to the end of the programme. Since then I've not only kept the weight off but lost another seven pounds and am now happily weighing in at my pre-pregnancy weight.

So thank you, not only for helping me refind "me" but for teaching me a whole new way of eating and taking control of what I chose to eat, both in terms of the day to day and when to treat myself. Its something that I'm determined will stay with me and which my little daughter will grow up around, knowing how to eat sensibly without feeling deprived or guilty!
